“Ibbie’s Kitchen” is a television show concept that showcases “Music, food, fun – Colorado-style.” It is hosted by TV show personality, and professional Chef, Keith Jones. The show features Colorado entertainment of all kinds – artists, musicians, models, street performers, and of course, Chef Keith himself, tying the production together with his gourmet selections and lively dialog.
The 3 pilots for the show were to be shot on-location, outdoors, in a metro Denver residential neighborhood not suited for rock bands or television shoots. Inclement weather, varying equipment and terrain, and neighborhood relations all had to be carefully considered. The main consideration was: “How do we produce this to look like a national quality TV show/pilot?” What could Lynx offer that would provide this level of quality? Lynx determined that the show needed exceptional musical talent, an audio mix that is comparable to a national-quality TV show, a durable and effective PA system for the local audience, and broadcast-quality audio.
Lynx talent scouting procured some of Colorado’s finest emerging talent through its diverse networks. Lynx provided the producers with a compact, yet dependable, PA system that supported both artists and audience with 40+ years of experience in concert sound production. Lynx managed all the audio captured in various facets of the 3 day-long productions, ensuring A/V synchronization and broadcast-quality audio for any future application. Then, Lynx re-mixed and mastered all the audio in its in-house studio and re-synced audio to the video.
